The winners of the PSM Awards 2021, which was held for the fourth time this year and where the most innovative projects of the finance and technology sector were awarded by 'Payment Systems Magazine', which takes the pulse of the electronic payment world, have been announced.
The Capital Card application, which was initiated by Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş with the words "What one hand gives, the other will not see", was awarded the "Golden PSM" award within the scope of the "PSM Awards 2021".
THE MOST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT
“Baskent Card”, implemented by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, returned with an award from the PSM Awards 2021 award ceremony, which brings together companies that have accomplished groundbreaking projects in contactless payments, e-commerce, money transfers and many more.
Many projects initiated by world-renowned banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions that contribute directly or indirectly to the sector are awarded Gold PSM, Silver PSM, Bronze PSM, Achievement Award and Success Award in 12 categories under the "Innovation", "Creativity" and "Social Benefit" sections. Competed for the Grand Prize. Evaluating nearly 300 applications, the jury found 60 projects of 79 companies worthy of awards. United Payment Services and Elektronik Para Anonim Şirketi, which prepared the technological infrastructure of the Başkent Card application at the PSM Awards, was awarded the Golden PSM award with Başkent Kart in the "Most Innovative Product" category.
BAŞKENT CARD BRANDED FOR THE 5TH TIME AWARD
Stating that Başkent Kart, which has been awarded for the 5th time in the national and international arena in the social responsibility and innovation categories, has become an important brand in the sector, Gökhan Özcan, Head of the IT Department of the Metropolitan Municipality, made the following assessments:
“As a prepaid money card with chip and contactless payment, like the credit cards given by banks, Başkent Card continues to make its name known to the whole world with the awards it has received in the fields of finance and technology, although 8 months have passed since its launch. Başkent Card has become Turkey's single most comprehensive city card, valid all over the world. We continue our efforts so that more of our citizens can benefit from the Başkent Card, which was designed to facilitate the lives of our citizens receiving social assistance, but was adopted and used by other citizens in a short time.”
