Within the scope of the Mission Critical Narrowband Broadband Radio System (GÖKTESİS) carried out by ASELSAN, the tests of the broadband base station radio unit were completed. In 4.5G technology, cell broadcasting in 700 MHz (Band 28) frequency band and 3 MHz bandwidth was made for the first time in Turkey, and user tests were positive under laboratory conditions.
The radio unit, in which the ASELSAN 3810 Narrow Band – Broadband Hybrid Handheld Terminal will operate integrated, will meet the needs of mission-critical users for high-speed data transfer and video/audio communication over LTE.
The 700 MHz Radio Unit will first be used under the Adana Digital Communication Network established by ASELSAN within the scope of the project led by the Presidency of Defense Industries. Adana Digital Communication Network will be the first pilot implementation of Turkey's Public Safety and Emergency Communication System Program and integration of Narrow Band System and mission critical broadband services.
