The tender for "Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Train Railway Construction", whose bids were collected by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM) in December, was concluded.
Doğuş-Çekler-Özkar joint venture submitted the most suitable bid with 21 TL for the tender, which was held with 16.949.967.710/B with the bargaining method. It is expected that a contract will be signed in the coming days with the Doğuş-Çekler-Özkar joint venture that won the tender.
About Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Railway Project
Yerköy – Kayseri high standard railway is a high standard railway line that is being built between Yerköy YHT Station in Yerköy district of Yozgat and Kayseri YHT Station in Kocasinan district of Kayseri and will be integrated with Ankara-Sivas high speed railway when completed. High Speed Train services will be organized by TCDD Transportation on the line, which will be double-track, electrified and signaled.
The project tender was made by TCDD for the preparation of the 139 km long Yerköy – Kayseri High Speed Train Project, on November 21, 2014, a contract was signed with Altınok Consulting Firm, which won the tender on August 14, 2015, and the site was delivered on October 13, 2015. On October 3, 2019, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Cahit Turhan Yerköy – Kayseri High Speed Train Project does not have a clear date, our tender preparation works continue. We plan to make the tender next year when the project is completed and finished. Hopefully, our target is 2023.
The length of the Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Railway Project is 142 kilometers, and it will be built in the form of a new double line in accordance with the design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. There will be 12 tunnels with a total length of 900 thousand 9 meters on the line. The longest tunnel will be 3 thousand 280 meters. On the High Speed Train Line, there will be 2 bridges, 395 overpasses and 18 underpasses with a total length of 20 thousand 116 meters. 21 viaducts will be built along the line. The project is targeted to be completed in 4 years.
With the commissioning of the Yerköy-Kayseri High Speed Train Line; The line between Yerköy and Kayseri will decrease from 170 kilometers to 142 kilometers. The transportation time will decrease from 3,5 hours to less than 1 hour. With the activation of the line; Ankara-Kayseri transportation time, which is provided in 7 hours by the existing conventional railway, will be reduced to 2 hours.
