The President of HAÇİKO Association Ömür Gedik visited Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Mahmut Gürcan regarding the issue of “VAT reduction in food”, which has been on the agenda of animal lovers for a long time.
Gedik, giving the good news that the meeting, which was attended by the members of the board of directors of the association, Lawyer Yıltay Günay, Esra Fazlıoğlu and Meltem Akman, was positive, and said, “As our Deputy Minister Mahmut Gürcan said that cat and dog food is not a luxury but a necessity, people adopt animals with the prices of 18 percent VAT reflected. and we conveyed that he had difficulty in feeding the household. We received the word of good news for animal lovers from our Deputy Minister. Mahmut Gürcan said that VAT will be simplified and the 18 percent VAT rate on foods will be reduced. We hope that in a few months the work he mentioned will be concluded.” said.
