El Salvador President Nayib Bukele and his delegation visited Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) facilities. During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed with El Salvador in the field of satellite. TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil said of the development, "We have made a good start with our cooperation agreement in the field of satellites, conveying that we are ready to cooperate with our aviation and space capabilities. Good luck,” he announced.
The Presidency of El Salvador also made a statement about the visit. In the statement, it was stated that the ANKA unmanned aerial vehicle system, which has a high surveillance capacity, attracted the attention of the President.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and El Salvador President Nayib Bukele held tete-a-tete and interdelegation meetings at the Presidential Complex. At the joint press conference of the two leaders, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele stated that defense industry issues were also discussed. Bukele also stated that El Salvador's first satellite could be thanks to Turkish technology.
