First hike of 2022 for Electricity, Natural Gas, Eurasia Tunnel, Bridges and Gasoline

In the first 2022 minutes of 20, news of 5 hikes came one after the other. Electricity was the highest increase in the history of the Republic. Electricity hike was followed by Natural Gas, Eurasia Tunnel, Bridges and Gasoline.

1. The highest hike in electricity in the history of the Republic

Electricity increased at rates ranging from 52 percent to 130 percent, including taxes and funds, for all consumer groups.

2. A 15-25-50 percent hike in natural gas prices!

The sales price of natural gas used in residences was increased by 25%, the sales price of natural gas used for electricity generation was increased by 15%, and the sales price of natural gas used outside of electricity generation was increased by 50%.

3. Increase in the Eurasia Tunnel pass

The Ministry of Transport announced that the Eurasia tunnel toll was increased as of 1 January. The toll fee, which was paid as 2021 lira for a one-way car in 46, became 2022 lira in 53.

4. Increase in bridge toll

Reminding that one-way pricing was made for the 15 July Martyrs and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridges, the following was noted in the statement:

“As of January 1, 2022, bridge tolls have been divided into two equal parts and changed in two directions. The one-way car toll on the Bosphorus bridges was determined as 8,25 liras.

5. Gasoline hike

On the last day of the year, 61 cents for gasoline, 78 cents for LPG, 1 lira and 29 cents for diesel fuel.
