ELECTRICITY HIGHEST HIGH IN REPUBLIC HISTORY

In the written statement made by EMRA, it was stated that the gradual tariff application was started within the scope of the law adopted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), and the following expressions were used:

  • The goal of the staggered tariff is to protect our low-income citizens and to increase savings and efficiency in energy use. As it is known, as a result of the increase in raw material prices due to the pandemic conditions, there have been great increases in energy costs.
  • In the prices of coal used in electricity generation in the world spot markets; There was a 5-fold increase in natural gas prices and a 10-fold increase in natural gas prices. The Turkish energy sector was also affected by the extraordinary cost increases that emerged at the global level in this process. However, with the cooperation between our institutions, these increases were reflected to our consumers at a minimum level.
  • In addition, in order to protect our citizens from these increases, our state provided a total of 2021 billion liras in 100 by covering half of the electricity bills and four-fifths of the natural gas.

In the statement, which has become mandatory for the sustainability of energy markets, cost-based pricing and predictability, the final price is 1 for consumption amounts up to 2022 kWhe per month for residential subscribers as of January 150, 1,37, with the transition to efficiency-oriented gradual tariff. It will be applied as 150 TL/ kWh and 2,06 TL/ kWh for monthly consumptions over XNUMX kWh.

On the website of Boru Hatları ve Petrol Taşıma AŞ (BOTAŞ), a statement was made regarding the natural gas wholesale price tariff for January 2022.

According to the statement, a 25 percent increase was made in the natural gas used in residences. The natural gas provided to large industrial and commercial establishments has increased by 50 percent.

The natural gas tariff used for electricity generation has also increased by 15 percent.

EXPLANATION FROM BOTAŞ

The following statements were included in the statement of BOTAŞ regarding the price tariff:

Since the beginning of 2021, it is well known by the public that consumers in the world and European energy markets are exposed to exorbitant energy prices due to the usual and extraordinary fluctuations in the markets, and the high energy prices experienced all over the world have not been reflected to our consumers at the same rate until today.

As of January 1, 2022, it has become obligatory to make a regulation in natural gas sales prices in a way that will affect our consumers at the minimum level within the framework of possibilities.

In this context, effective from 1 January 2022;

  • 25% to the selling price of natural gas used in residences
  • 15 percent to the selling price of natural gas used for electricity generation.
  • The sales price of natural gas used excluding electricity generation was increased by 50 percent.

COVERED HIGH BRIDGES

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced the bridge and Eurasia Tunnel fees, which will be valid from 1 January in Istanbul.

In the statement made by the Ministry, “The one-way fee applied in the 15 July Martyrs and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridges has been changed to two-way by dividing the bridge tolls into two equal parts as of January 1, 2022. The one-way car toll on the Bosphorus Bridges has been determined as 8,25 TL.

Last year, the toll tariffs for the 15 July Martyrs and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridges were increased by 26 percent and the toll fee of the automobiles was increased from 10.5 lira to 13.25 lira.

By 2022, the toll will be two-way instead of one-way, and vehicle owners will pay a total of 16.50 liras.

EURASIA TUNNEL FEES

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was also stated that “The car toll in the Eurasia Tunnel has been determined as 05 TL in one direction between 00:24 and 00:53, and 00 TL with a 00 percent discount between 05:00 and 50:26,50”.

The year 2022 started with the increase in fuel prices. Energy Oil Gas Supply Stations Employers' Union (EPGİS) announced that there was a price increase in fuel products.

According to the statement made by EPGIS, the price increase was 1 lira 29 cents in diesel, 61 cents in gasoline and 78 cents in LPG.

NEW PRICES

The average liter price of gasoline in Ankara was 12,98 liras. The liter of gasoline increased to 12,92 liras in Istanbul and 13 liras in Izmir.

The average liter price of diesel in Ankara was 12,80 liras. The liter of diesel increased to 12,74 liras in Istanbul and 12,82 liras in Izmir.

The liter price of LPG increased to 8,80 liras in Ankara, 8,76 liras in Istanbul and 8,64 liras in Izmir.
