A chain that starts with empathy
President speaking at the workshop Tunç Soyer Stating that he has two daughters, he said, “I am a youth-friendly, child-friendly mayor. Young people are our treasure. More than 60 percent of the population is looking for their future abroad. This is incredibly sad. Because we live in an extraordinarily beautiful land. This beautiful land deserves neither poverty nor injustice nor the fact that young people have come to the point of leaving this country. That's why we're upset. But we also have hope, because you exist. We know that the desertification, injustice and injustice experienced in these lands are not destiny. Something changeable. So how will it change? I'm talking about a chain that starts with empathy. When you start doing this, you feel a resurrection in conscience. Because you are trying to understand. This makes you curious and you try to be informed. The more you learn, the more your courage grows. As your courage increases, you open the door to liberation. A chain that begins with empathy and continues with liberation. "This is a recipe I found for my own life," he said.

Stating that they listen to the voice of the youth, President Soyer said, “I don't want to do anything good for you. Because what I learned while raising my own children was this: It is impossible to do anything good for them. Supporting something good that they want for themselves. Yes, that is something else. That has been my duty. We held this meeting to hear what you want for yourself. We want you to tell us this. We will do our part to bring what you have said to life," he said.
After his speech, President Soyer listened to the requests of the young people one by one at six separate tables set up for the youth and took notes.
