Organized by the Sabri Ülker Foundation, the 2nd International Conference on Nutrition, Health Literacy and Education will take place on February 11 with the participation of experts from Turkey and abroad. The changes caused by the pandemic that entered our lives on children the most, and the devastating effects it left on children, determined this year's theme of the conference as "Protection of the Well-Being of the Child during the Pandemic Period".
The Sabri Ülker Foundation continues to implement sustainable projects with the aim of contributing to the future of public health and delivering accurate and up-to-date information obtained from reliable sources on nutrition, food and healthy living to all segments of the society. At the International Conference on Nutrition, Health Literacy and Education, organized for the second time by the Foundation, the education process of children in the pandemic, how to support children's mental health, ways to cope with and protect against negative effects and difficulties on health and well-being will be discussed by experts in their fields. .
Ways to protect both mental and physical health in children
The pandemic, which has been a part of our lives for two years, can cause negative psychological effects in children. In this process, the changing social environment brings with it serious and destructive effects. At the 2nd International Conference on Nutrition, Health Literacy and Education, solutions to the changes created by the pandemic in social life will be discussed holistically. In the conference, which will be held in hybrid form, where national and international scientists will be guests, how the pandemic has changed the school curriculum in Turkey and some foreign countries, how to be a digital parent in the digital transformation process, how the immune system of children will be affected in the pandemic and after, will be discussed. The negative effects of phone use on eye health will be discussed. Scientific analyzes about the individual differences and learning processes of students that emerged with the pandemic, measures and suggestions that can be taken to ensure that children are least affected by this process will be shared by experts.
