The Ministry of National Education continues to take new steps to popularize pre-school education. Planning to build 2022 new kindergartens and 3 new nursery classes by the end of 40, the Ministry quickly started to implement its plan. The Ministry of National Education, which has opened 5 new kindergarten classes so far, increased the schooling rate for the 500-year-old group from 5% to 78% in a short time. Thus, the schooling rate in the 85-3 age group increased from 5% to 45%.

In this context, it is aimed to build 2022 new kindergartens and 3 new nursery classes by the end of 40. In addition, it was decided to establish a kindergarten or kindergarten in all of the primary schools to be built in 2022.

The target by the end of 2022 is 76%

Stating that they are making great efforts to increase access to pre-school education in all provinces, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said: “We want to expand access to pre-school education in order to increase equal opportunities in education. In this context, we will build 2022 new kindergartens and 3 new nursery classes by the end of 40. We made the necessary plans. We started the project with the patronage and support of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan and we are continuing it. As a first step, we started the construction of 12 new kindergartens, each with 100 classrooms, in Istanbul. We will build 2022 new kindergartens in Istanbul by the end of 1.000. By the end of 2022, the schooling rate, which was 3% in the 14-year-old group, will be increased to 50%; We aim to increase the schooling rate from 4% in the 35-year-old group to 70%, and to 5% from 78% in the 100-year-old group. Our planning towards this goal is working successfully. By the end of 5, we have reached the target we set for February 2022 for the 2021-year-old group. When we reach these targets by the end of 2022, our schooling rate in the 3-5 age group will have increased from 45% to 76%. Thus, we will achieve a very significant increase in the rate of pre-school enrollment, approaching the OECD average.”
