Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to open an art gallery in Konak Metro Station in order to enrich the cultural texture of the city and bring art to daily life.

In the section at the Kemeraltı entrance of the station, work has been started by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Construction Works Department in an area of ​​​​2 thousand square meters. With an investment of 3 million 120 thousand liras, the floor was renewed and wall panels were installed. The area was illuminated and a fire escape was built. The modern art gallery of the city, which will include the entrance hall, warehouses, cloakroom, toilets, an elevator system for the disabled, administrative offices and a cafe, will be put into service in April. Konak Metro Art Gallery is planned to be one of the important art centers of the city.
