Marmara Municipalities Union and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın conducted an on-site investigation for the 65-meter-long, two-span and two-lane bridge project to be built in addition to the Turgut Özal Bridge on the Çayırova TEM connection road. In the examination that also included Çayırova Mayor Bünyamin Çiftçi and AK Party District President Servet Günay, President Büyükakın, who received information from the Head of Science Department Ayşegül Yalçınkaya, said, “Kocaeli is one of the most popular cities in Turkey. Our population is growing rapidly. With the rapidly increasing population, we, as the Metropolitan Municipality, are trying to act very quickly in raising the quality of life of this population, in responding to the problems and producing solutions immediately. Hopefully, with our project here, the entrances and exits to our Çayırova district will be relieved, and our citizens will be able to travel more comfortably.”

“WE ALWAYS HAVE TO THINK A STEP AHEAD”

Stating that they evaluated the demands from the citizens for the bridge to be built in addition to the Turgut Özal Bridge on the Çayırova TEM connection road, Mayor Büyükakın said, “We always have to think one step ahead for our city, together with all our colleagues and district municipalities. Today, we show a perfect example of this. In fact, we can say that we are planning the future. With the bridge we will implement here, we are always doing what is necessary for our great responsibilities such as thinking, planning and implementing one step ahead. In fact, that is our whole issue.”

“OUR CITIZENS WILL MAKE A COMFORTABLE TRANSITION”

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, who continued his statement after the examination by saying, “We are building new roads in Kocaeli, opening new transportation networks”, said, “We attach great importance to information, data and statistics in each of our projects, in each of our works, in each of our services, and by managing it effectively, we will provide much higher quality. We are working to turn it into works. Our compatriots living in Çayırova, our shopkeepers taking service, our shopkeepers providing transportation in the city, and our citizens using this line with their vehicles had requests for us to improve the transition here. We are taking steps to fulfill this request. Hopefully, when this project is finished, our citizens will have a comfortable transition.”
