Asked the Number of Vehicles Crossing the Osmangazi Bridge, Couldn't Get an Answer

CHP İzmir Deputy Atila Sertel asked the number of vehicles passing through Osmangazi Bridge in 2021 and the warranty fees paid through CIMER. In the response given by CIMER, it was almost mocked and said, "All work and transactions in Build Operate Transfer projects are carried out in accordance with the legislation, within the framework of the provisions in the implementation contracts."

'The state's billions are poured into someone every year'

Atila Sertel said, “They have a habit of smuggling information from the public. In previous years, the number of vehicles passing through the Osmangazi Bridge and the millions of dollars coming out of the state's coffers for guarantee payments were on the agenda. Fearing the public's reaction, the AKP government now chooses to hide direct information. Since you have done the right thing, come out and explain the numbers. If you do not give this information to us as a deputy, get out and explain yourself. But they can't explain because the state's billions are poured into someone every year. If the money paid for the warranty fees comes out of the pockets of the people, you have to inform our people as well. To whom do you pay, from whom are you missing information?

'We haven't been able to get explanatory answers from TRT for the last 3-4 years'

Stating that as a member of the SOE Commission, they have not received explanatory answers from TRT for the last 3-4 years, Sertel continued as follows:

“At the SOE Commission, we persistently ask how much is paid per episode for TV series and programs produced outside of TRT. But they don't explain it as 'Trade Secret'. We ask the Presidency about the number of vehicles and bodyguards and they say 'enough'. We ask how much was paid in 2020 for the Osmangazi Bridge, which was built by subcontractors and 1.5 billion TL was paid to the contractors in 2021 for the guarantee payment, they say 'in compliance with the legislation'. Take one and shoot the other. All ministries, all institutions are corrupt. They have taken the ship to a standstill and they are making fun of both us and our people. Those who donate the state to themselves and their supporters think that they will get away with not providing information. Those who smuggle information from the public will be held accountable before the law.” (news.left)
