Hatice Kübra İlgün, the taekwondo player of Bursa Metropolitan Belediyespor Club, who competed in the 2020 kilos at the Tokyo 57 Olympic Games and made both Turkey and Bursa proud with the bronze medal she won, made Bursa feel proud. Hatice Kübra İlgün was selected as the 'Best Female Athlete of the Year' at the Turkey Crystal Globe Awards, where people and brands operating in the press, media, business world, magazine, TV series, cinema, sports and health sectors were awarded by public vote.
The award ceremony of the competition, which is among the most prestigious awards in Turkey and the result is determined by the public, was held at Istanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University. Hatice Kübra İlgün, the Olympic medalist of Bursa, who took the stage to receive the 'Best Female Athlete of the Year' award, said, “We face many obstacles on the way to success and we are always in a struggle. We never stop fighting. I would like to thank our Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and our sports club, who have always been with me throughout this process. Keep supporting us,” he said.
