Forensic medicine specialists were added to the application, which benefited a total of 264 thousand health workers.
The right of free transportation to health workers, which was put into practice by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) in May 2020 due to the pandemic process, has been extended until 30 June 2022. The proposal of the IMM Public Transportation Services Directorate was unanimously accepted in the IMM Assembly.
From the service that is valid for public transportation vehicles included in Istanbulkart integration; All employees, including civil servants, workers, contracted (intern) doctors working in health institutions and organizations, as well as health workers in IMM and district municipalities, and employees of IMM Cemeteries Directorate benefit.
Within the scope of the extension decision taken by the IMM Assembly on January 12, 2022, the staff of the Forensic Medicine Institute will also benefit from the application.
Within the scope of the free transportation service that 264 thousand health workers benefit from, 2021 million free trips were made in 232 alone, corresponding to 61 million liras.
