From September 6, 2021, the Ministry of National Education has made great efforts to keep schools open face-to-face five days a week, uninterruptedly. Before the semester break, which will start a week later, a gesture came from Mahmut Özer.
Minister Özer sent a certificate of achievement to all teachers and administrative staff who made great sacrifices in this process. Making a statement on the subject, Minister Özer said: “To be able to switch to face-to-face education five days a week at all grade levels after about one and a half years of distance education required really determined steps and meticulous adherence to the rules. Our teachers, their students; Our students missed their school and their friends. A great reunion took place. With the system we developed, we successfully managed the process with all our stakeholders. The biggest heroes of this process were our teachers. They taught with masks. In addition, the immunization rates of our teachers were well above the average rates in our country, as well as the vaccination rates of teachers in most countries in continental Europe. In this process, our teachers were very meticulous in the implementation of the rules in schools. In addition, our administrative staff made a very important contribution to the process. Together, we are very happy to show the society that the safest environment in the epidemic environment is schools, and schools are the last places to close. As the Ministry, we sent a certificate of achievement to all our teachers and administrative staff to thank them for their determined stance, sharing responsibilities and efforts in our schools' continuation of face-to-face education. I congratulate all my colleagues.”
