Employment Increase is Expected in New Areas in the Gaming Industry

While the digital game industry has become one of Turkey's most important export sectors in recent years, there is a significant increase in employment in various disciplines in this field. In addition to professions such as game and graphic designers, which are at the core of game development processes, an increase in personnel employment is expected in many fields such as user experience and interface, big data, cloud technologies by the sector.

While game companies continue to develop the number of personnel and expertise, the intensity of training in this field in universities draws attention. While the Game Design departments that have been opened in many universities recently attract attention, the inclusion of game production trainings in the curriculum in other branches draws attention. However, the need for trained personnel of game companies is growing day by day.

Mayadem, which has been operating in the game industry since 2015 and is one of Turkey's most rooted companies in this field, predicts that it will increase the number of its employees by at least 2025 percent until 60. Speaking on the subject, Mayadem CEO Uğur Tılıkoğlu said, “There is an increasing interest in the game industry and our need for sufficient and highly qualified personnel as game companies is increasing day by day in order to meet the demand in this field. Considering the growth of Mayadem in the upcoming period, we foresee that we need to increase our team by at least 2025 percent until 60. In this sense, it would not be wrong to say that the need for competent people in the field will increase exponentially in the future, just as there is a need in the sector today. With the increase in the need for human resources, there is a great struggle among companies to reach qualified personnel. Although it has not spread to the sector, we sadly witness unethical human resources activities from time to time.
