With the support of Serhat Development Agency (SERKA), a feasibility report is being prepared for the construction of a cable car to the Devil's Castle in the Çıldır district of Ardahan.

The contract for the "Çıldır Devil Castle Ropeway Feasibility Project", which was entitled to receive financial support within the scope of the Feasibility Support program opened by Serhat Development Agency in 2021, was signed by SERKA Secretary General Nurullah Karaca and Çıldır Mayor Yakup Azizoğlu. Devil's Castle, which is about 5 kilometers away from the town center of Çıldır, is located in the Karaçay Canyon, where the Kura River passes. The castle, which consists of cliffs on three sides, can only be entered through a door on the north side. After the feasibility report to be prepared, it will be decided whether to build a cable car for the Devil's Castle, which has become a touristic destination in recent years with its majestic structure and surrounding natural beauty.

With the cable car to be built on Karaçay Canyon, it is aimed to build social spaces at the east and north points. In the region where the cable car will be built, it is aimed to create hiking and trekking routes and offer them to nature lovers. Another goal of the project is to increase employment through social spaces to be created for domestic and foreign tourists. Devil's Castle, which is thought to have been built during the Urartian Kingdom, is among the most visited places by local and foreign tourists, along with Lake Çıldır.
