“We completed the 'No School Without Library' project, which we carried out under the auspices of Ms. Emine Erdogan, in two months, in order to reduce the difference in opportunities between schools. In this context, we built new libraries for 16 schools that do not have a library. At the end of 361, there is no school without a library. We also increased the number of books in libraries from 2021 million to approximately 28 million. In addition, we aimed to combine the zero waste project, which continues under the auspices of Ms. Emine Erdoğan, with this project, and to build 42 libraries created through recycling in 81 provinces in January. We reached this goal in a short time like 250 days. There is at least one library created through recycling in all our provinces.

With 33 libraries, Istanbul was our city with the largest number of libraries created through recycling. İzmir ranked second with 14 libraries made through recycling, and Antalya and Muğla with 13 libraries ranked third. I congratulate all my colleagues, school administrators, teachers and students who contributed to the project for their success.”
