Izmir Metropolitan Municipality renewed the 5 wooden piers built along Mustafa Kemal Beach Boulevard and opened them to public use in order to strengthen the relationship of the people of Izmir with the sea.

Wooden piers, which are the focus of attention of both fishermen and citizens who want to watch the sunset, along Mustafa Kemal Beach Boulevard, have been renewed. 5 wooden piers, which were built by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to strengthen the relationship of the people of Izmir with the sea and to revive the traces in the historical memory of the city, but worn out due to adverse weather conditions and vandalism, were maintained and repaired. Reinforcement work was carried out on the wooden floor, and the wooden urban furniture was also renewed. The works, which cost 2 million 166 thousand liras, were completed in 4 months and the piers were opened to the public. 5 meters wide and 20 meters long wooden piers in front of Karataş-Karantina and Susuzdede are called Sunset, Bougainvillea, Boat, Windy and Sailboat piers.
