Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a series of events on Sunday, December 5, to mark the 87th anniversary of Turkish women's right to vote and be elected. The program will start with the women's march to be held from the Kulturpark Lausanne Gate to Cumhuriyet Square with the slogan “We Walk for Equality in Representation”.

Within the scope of the program organized to raise awareness about the inequality between men and women stemming from gender roles, women deputies, mayors, council members, headmen, political parties, women's associations, democratic mass organizations and professional chambers met at the Kulturpark Lausanne gate at 12.30 and went to Cumhuriyet Square. will meet on the right march. After the march to be held with the slogan "We Walk for Equality in Representation", Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Gender Equality Commission President and CHP Group Deputy Chairman Nilay Kökkılınç will share her thoughts on this important day with the participants. After laying a wreath at the Atatürk Monument, Ürkmez Theater's play “Women's World” will be staged at the Mustafa Necati Cultural Center in Yeşilyurt between 13.45-15.45. At 20.00, the "Hand in Hand Symphony Music" event will meet with the people of Izmir at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center.
