Izmir Metropolitan Municipality brought together social entrepreneurs from different countries of the world at the International Social Entrepreneurship Workshop. Speaking at the opening of the workshop, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu said that they want to maintain an economic climate that creates high added value in İzmir and said, "Our aim is to increase the prosperity of the city and to share it fairly."
International Social Entrepreneurship Workshop was held in line with the vision of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer to develop the entrepreneurship culture of the city. The workshop, organized by the Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department in cooperation with the Social Business Global Association, at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Youth Campus, brought together social entrepreneurs from different countries of the world.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu said, “Since we took office, we attach great importance to studies that encourage entrepreneurship, innovation and innovation in order to make İzmir resilient in line with the vision of our President Tunç Soyer. Our aim is very clear: to increase the welfare of İzmir and to share it fairly. Evaluating the workshop as a useful work in terms of increasing awareness and competence regarding entrepreneurship, Mustafa Özuslu said: “The aim of the workshop to bring together the practices of social entrepreneurship in different countries and cultures and to create a reference for social entrepreneurs is extremely important in terms of creating know-how. We are striving to make İzmir a world city. While trying to reach this goal, we try to fulfill all the requirements simultaneously. We follow the whole world closely with our minds clear.”

Social Business Global Association President İsmail Hilmi Adıgüzel stated that they were excited to hold such a workshop in İzmir and said, “It is also a great pleasure to do something like this in my country. We want to explain social entrepreneurship to the farthest corner. Social entrepreneurship is a model that enables economic and social development, where we can work in the field of unemployment and solve social problems. We have friends from 18 different countries here. How is social entrepreneurship implemented in 18 different countries, in which sectors, in which areas, and with which models? We will examine them and archive them. Later, we will share this information with our friends who want to be social entrepreneurs or who are now social entrepreneurs.”
