Setting the standards of not only today but also the future in the air cargo industry with its strong infrastructure, innovative mission and broad vision, Turkish Cargo has raised the bar in sensitive and complex cargo transportation to space. The air cargo brand transported the Ukraine-developed earth observation satellite Sich-2-30 from Ukraine to Miami, via Istanbul, to be launched into space.

Developed as part of Ukraine's National Special Purpose Scientific and Technical Space Program, the satellite will be sent into space in January 2022 from the launch site at Kennedy Space Center (USA). After being put into orbit, the earth observation satellite will acquire digital and infrared images of the earth's surface and collect comprehensive data by examining the ionosphere parameters.

Comprehensive preparation for safe and secure transport

Sich-2-30 Earth Observation Satellite was separated into multiple components to facilitate loading and unloading operations. The satellite components were carefully packed together with their materials and placed on 2 separate pallets to prevent any damage during transportation. The transportation process of the spacecraft, which was loaded on the Turkish Cargo aircraft by expert teams, was carried out with a successful operation, all stages of which were meticulously carried out.

Turkish Cargo uses special equipment for products whose transportation processes require utmost care and precision, and monitors every movement of valuable cargo in sensitive cargo rooms with cameras located in and around the storage facilities. With more than 30 years of experience in private cargo transportation, Turkish Cargo is among the first choices of global companies in their search for reliable business partners with its unique solutions.
