Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that TAV Airports AŞ-Fraport AG business partnership gave the highest bid in the Antalya Airport tender, and that Turkey's profit in the tender was 8.5 billion euros and emphasized that 2.1 billion euros of this price would be paid in advance. Underlining that the TAV Airports AŞ-Fraport AG business partnership has committed to invest 765 million Euros, Karaismailoğlu said, "The tender is an indication of the trust in our country's economy."

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made a statement about the Antalya Airport tender. Expressing that the tender is an important gain for Turkey, Karaismailoğlu said that 8 companies purchased files in the tender for the Making of Additional Investments for the Capacity Increase of Antalya Airport and the awarding of Domestic/International, General Aviation, CIP Terminals and Supplements by Lease, and 3 of them took part. He noted that he had his sight documents approved.

Noting that two companies submitted bids for the tender, Karaismailoğlu stated that after the envelopes of the Vnukovo-INTEKAR Yapı and TAV-Fraport AG business partnership groups were opened, the auction started. Pointing out that the highest bid of 12 billion 7 million euros at the end of 250 rounds came from the TAV Airports AŞ-Fraport AG business partnership, and that this cost was 8 billion 555 million euros including VAT, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “25 percent of the 25-year rental price will be paid in advance. . This cost together with VAT corresponds to 2 billion 138 million euros. The tender covers the period from January 2027 to December 2051, when the existing agreement will expire.

OPERATION TIME 25 YEARS

Karaismailoğlu stated that TAV Airports AŞ-Fraport AG joint venture made an investment commitment of 765 million 252 thousand 109 Euros and continued as follows:

“The project is expanding the domestic and 2nd international terminals, the construction of the 3rd international terminal and general aviation terminal, the VIP terminal and the State Guesthouse, investments to increase the apron capacity, the construction of a new technical block, tower and transmitter station, fuel storage and distribution facility. includes investments such as construction. The construction period of the facilities will be 36 months and the operational period will be 25 years.”

INVESTMENT NEED IS FASTLY MEETING WITH BOT PROJECTS

Expressing that the company partners participating in the tender are foreign investors, Karaismailoğlu emphasized that the participation of Turkish, French and German partnerships and Turkish-Russian partnership companies in the tender is an indicator of their trust and interest in the economy.

Expressing that the investment need is met faster with the Build-Operate-Transfer model, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “Our country also generates income.
