TCDD Cannot Get Rent from Land and Workplaces

The accumulated rent receivables of TCDD for 22 different real estates reached 51 million 854 thousand liras.

It turned out that TCDD has many immovable properties that it has not been able to rent for 10 years. The accumulated rent debt of the workplaces, including the business center, fuel station, restaurant, entertainment center, parking lot, buffet, patisserie, reached 51 million 854 thousand liras. Some businesses have not paid rent for 110 months.

NOT PAID FOR 110 MONTHS

The Court of Accounts demanded the collection of rents that 'turned into free use', otherwise legal proceedings would be initiated and the contracts terminated. In the TCDD audit report of the Court of Accounts, the list of places that have been paying rent to the institution for years was included. Rent debts of 22 different real estates range from 10 months to 110 months. The accumulated rent receivables of TCDD for 22 different real estates reached 51 million 854 thousand liras. The business center in Istanbul Maltepe has not paid its rent for 8.5 years. This business center has a rent debt of 20 million 534 thousand liras.
