The cooperation between Mercedes-Benz Türk and Bahçeşehir University, which started in 2009 within the scope of the “CO-OP Education Model”, continues this year as well. In this context, students of Bahçeşehir University Mechatronics Department are presented with the title of commercial vehicle engineering, basic information about truck and bus products, up-to-date information on product development processes and engineering. The course contents, prepared by Mercedes-Benz Türk experts considering the sectoral needs, newly developing areas and trends, are given by the senior managers of Mercedes-Benz Türk.
Continuing to teach students within the scope of the cooperation, Mercedes-Benz Turkish Bus Development Body Director Dr. Zeynep Gul Husband; “As the Mercedes-Benz Türk family, we take great pleasure in being a part of the 'university & industry' cooperation. In this way, we share our passion and technologies in developing commercial vehicles with the younger generations and share their interest and excitement.” said.
Within the scope of the CO-OP Education Model, the pace of change that has increased in recent years, newly developing fields and current issues in commercial vehicle engineering are delivered to students as lessons. The program, which includes a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Türk Hoşdere Bus Factory, also offers students the opportunity to see the production of commercial vehicles.
More than 9 students in total participated in the courses given by Mercedes-Benz Türk for 250 semesters within the framework of the CO-OP Education Model. The program contributes to the training of new engineers in the 2021-2022 academic year and continues to inspire. We visited the Hoşdere factory within the scope of the digital hybrid lessons of the program, which was transferred to the digital environment for the first time in 2020 due to the pandemic, and we continue our next lessons face-to-face at the Beşiktaş campus.
