Sığacık Beach Has A Brand New Look

The beach has been completely renovated

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality reorganized the Seferihisar Beach, which was affected by the Izmir earthquake on October 30, 2020. On the beach, which was damaged by the tsunami disaster, granite stone was laid instead of the concrete floor covering on the vehicle and walkway. In order to connect the boats more easily and to prevent the sea from flooding in windy weather, the aging in-water concrete was renewed and the floor was raised with Kronman concrete. The works on the beach, which gained a modern look with landscaping and decorative lighting, cost 6,5 million liras. In addition, a green area arrangement was made around Kaleçi by the Department of Parks and Gardens. 23 olive and lilac trees and over 2 thousand plants were planted.

New living space in Sığacık

On the old Sığacık road, the 5 thousand square meter park next to the Gernisu Creek, which is under construction by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department, includes 1 basketball court, 230 meters walking path, 330 meters pedestrian path, children's playground, fitness area, sitting groups and greenery. will give life to the region with its areas. Together with decorative lighting and landscaping works, the park will cost 2.5 million liras. An investment of 2,5 million TL was made, including infrastructure manufacturing. The park will be put into service in the coming months.
