We will provide support for export and solve all your problems.”

Shoexpo, which will be organized by Nobel Expo and İZFAŞ, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, in cooperation with Aegean Exporters' Associations, İzmir Chamber of Commerce, Aegean Shoe Industry Association and İzmir Shoe Manufacturers' Chamber, was introduced at the Shoemakers Site in Işıkkent. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor attended the event. Tunç Soyer, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality General Secretary Dr. Buğra Gökçe, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Eser Atak and Yıldız Devran, İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Buyer, Nobel Expo Chairman Erhan Çelik, AYKÜSAN Işıkkent Shoemakers Site President Süleyman Özcan, manufacturers and industry professionals.
Soyer: “We will not leave it unpaid”
Stating that they will quickly meet the expectations of the tradesmen of the Shoemakers Site, the President Tunç Soyer, “We put at least two additional vehicle services from Halkapınar per day. We will build a kindergarten and social facility at the place you show. We will start asphalt work on all roads from the beginning of the year," he said. Saying that he is proud of the tradesmen in the Shoemakers Site, Mayor Soyer said, “We are very proud of what you have done in export. You have come to compete with the world in small shops today. We cannot leave this unanswered. As the municipality of this city, we will protect you until the end. That's why it's so important to be at Shoexpo. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, İZFAŞ and İzmir Chamber of Commerce will do their best in this regard. We will bring you together with the procurement committees,” he said.
“We will implement a training program for export support”
Stating that the global shoe trade volume has increased to 160 billion dollars, President Soyer emphasized that İzmir is at a very important point in terms of shoes and bags. Emphasizing that Işıkkent Shoemakers Site is of strategic importance not only for İzmir but also for our country, Soyer continued his words as follows: “İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Factory works in partnership with the shoe industry in order to provide vocational education and employment. The main purpose of our fair is to bring together manufacturers from all over our country with purchasing committees and to support the country's economy. Our main goal for İzmir is to make the producers in İzmir and our region more visible at Shoexpo. At this point, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is determined to support our producers in Işıkkent and to carry this support further with the participation of the fair. We will implement a short training program for export support to companies that have not participated in the fair before and have no experience in exporting. Then we will ensure that they participate in Shoexpo under the umbrella of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.”
Çelik: “This fair is yours”
Nobel Expo Chairman of the Board of Directors Erhan Çelik said, “There is a serious procurement committee support. We want İzmir to show the necessary determination at the fair. This fair is yours, I ask you to protect it”. AYKÜSAN Işıkkent Shoemakers Site President Süleyman Özcan said, “We have opened up to the world. We export to many countries. As İzmir, we have come a long way. We want to make Izmir the number one in Europe,” he said.
Artisan visit
After the introductory meeting, President Soyer visited the tradesmen and listened to their problems. AYKÜSAN also visited Işıkkent Shoemakers Site President Süleyman Özcan in his office and got information about the sector.
