Vat Energy General Manager Altuğ Karataş: “The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources will introduce new regulations in 2022 to the productivity-enhancing project supports and voluntary agreement supports it offers”

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources will continue its productivity-enhancing project supports and voluntary agreements in 2022. However, it will impose some limitations on these supports. Vat Energy General Manager Altuğ Karataş made the following statement regarding these changes: “The support given by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources through the Department of Energy Efficiency and Environment will continue with some limitations. The first of these; Energy efficiency investments under 500 thousand TL were excluded from the scope of the efficiency increasing project. Latter; Projects with a simple payback period of between 2 years and 5 years will benefit from productivity-enhancing projects support. Efficiency-enhancing projects with a simple payback period of less than 2 years will not be able to benefit from the support. As of January 1, 2022, lighting and insulation project supports will not be able to benefit from productivity-enhancing project supports. Electric motors below 11 kilowatts, which are advanced only through the efficiency class, will also be excluded from the scope of the efficiency-increasing project. If it is a machine with variable speed drive or an electric motor under 11 kilowatts that is part of it, it will be able to benefit from efficiency-enhancing project support.”

“APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL MARCH 31”

Karataş also warned the industrial organizations that want to apply for the Efficiency Enhancing Project about the date. Drawing attention to the fact that Efficiency Enhancing Project supports can be applied for at any time throughout the 12 months of the year, Karataş said that as of 2022, applications were made only between March 1 and March 31. Karataş continued his speech with the following words: “Those who want to apply for VAP support in 2022 and who want to apply for a productivity-enhancing project should hurry. It is important that the project files are prepared in January or February so that they can apply in March. Because at the moment, no other application date has been announced.”
