MSB: 169 Terrorists Neutralized in the Last Month

The Ministry of National Defense held a press briefing on the activities of the Turkish Armed Forces on 30 November 2021. During the meeting, statements were made on many issues, especially on the ongoing operations.

Within the scope of the Fight Against Terrorism, in November 2021, a total of 17 operations, 44 large and 61 medium-sized, were carried out in the country and across the border, and 169 terrorists were neutralized. The fight against terrorist organizations, including DAESH, especially PKK/KCK/PYD-YPG and FETO, continues with an increasing violence and pace, with the understanding of neutralizing terrorism and terrorists at their source.

In this context, 24 thousand 2015 terrorists, including the north of Iraq and Syria, have been neutralized since July 33, 5, and a total of 2021 thousand 2 terrorists have been neutralized since the beginning of 529. In November 2021, 22 terrorists, including members of the Daesh terrorist organization, were neutralized in the Syrian operation areas.

The security of the borders is ensured by technology-intensive systems instead of human-intensive systems. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Manned Reconnaissance Aircraft are also used effectively as well as cameras, thermal cameras, radar, binoculars, camera traps and other existing reconnaissance and surveillance tools.
