Kayseri Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent Tram Line First Rail Welding Ceremony, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. It was held with the participation of Memduh Büyükkılıç. The protocol made the first rail weld at Anafartalar station, which is the connection point to the existing tram system.

In addition to President Büyükkılıç, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Chairman of Local Administration Mehmet Özhaseki attended the Kayseri Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent Tram Line First Rail Welding Ceremony held in Belsin region. AK Party Kayseri Deputy İsmail Emrah Karayel, Kayseri Governor Şehmus Günaydın, AK Party Kayseri Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu, district mayors and senior officials attended.

At the ceremony, General Manager of Infrastructure Investments, Dr. Yalçın Eyigün made a comprehensive presentation about the project.

In his speech, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, who was later invited to the podium, said, “Kayseri, located at the center of international transportation corridors, has a great importance in passenger and freight transportation between Europe, Asia and the Middle East. For this reason, we are aware of the importance of every project that will strengthen Kayseri's transportation network. We are making plans to make Kayseri flourish and to carry Kayseri to the future in all our transportation and communication infrastructure projects.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the Anafartalar-Mobilyakent tram line project, whose foundation was laid on November 21, 2020, is one of the important projects of Kayseri, and said:

“Our project, consisting of 7 stations with a length of 11 kilometers, will strengthen the power of Kayseri's urban rail public transportation infrastructure, and will also support our country's green transportation goals. We have made progress in excavation works by 300 percent, in concrete production by 7 percent, and in rail assembly by 24 percent in our works, which we have been carrying out on a 86/78 basis with 75 personnel from the first day. We are leaving behind an important milestone by starting rail welding works at Anafartalar station, which is the connection point of our line to the existing tram system. We will complete the construction works in a few months and speed up the electronic and mechanical works.”

“WE HAVE MANY PROJECTS FOR KAYSERİ”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they have many projects in Kayseri and that they aim to complete the ongoing projects. We are increasing the rail system length of Kayseri from 35 kilometers to 42 kilometers and the number of stations from 55 to 66. With the 5 tram vehicles we will supply, we are increasing the number of rail system vehicles from 69 in Kayseri to 74," he said.

After the speeches, the First Rail Welding Ceremony of the Kayseri Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital-Mobilyakent Tram Line was held in the welding area by the protocol.
