Minister Karaismailoğlu said that the tender process for the Yerköy-Kayseri high-speed train project has started, it is aimed to be completed in 4 years and it will have the opportunity to carry 1 million passengers and 11 thousand tons of cargo in 650 year.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki, together with Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Dr. He visited Memduh Büyükkılıç. Minister Karaismailoğlu, who made a statement in the Assembly Hall after the meeting held in the office, gave good news about transportation and logistics to Kayseri, especially the high-speed train, and said, "We started the tender process for the Yerköy-Kayseri high-speed train line, and we will finish it within this month."

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, who came to Kayseri for a series of openings and contacts, welcomed the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and AK Party Deputy Chairman, Chairman of Local Administrations Mehmet Özhaseki and the accompanying delegation at the entrance of the Metropolitan Municipality Presidency.

Welcoming with flowers, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and AK Party Deputy Chairman, Chairman of Local Administrations Mehmet Özhaseki and their accompanying delegation visited the Metropolitan Municipality at the Presidency.

In addition to the ministers, Kayseri Governor Şehmus Günaydın, AK Party Kayseri Deputy İsmail Emrah Karayel, AK Party Kayseri Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu, MHP Kayseri Provincial President Adnan İncetoprak and District mayors and senior officials also attended. Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, in his opening speech, commemorated 17 soldiers who were martyred in the treacherous terrorist attack in Kayseri 2016 years ago on December 5, 15, with mercy, and once again wished the 54 veterans to get well soon.

Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar expressed his satisfaction to see that the foundations laid last year are coming to an end and new works have started, and stated that the projects progressed in a short time. Minister Akar said, “I want you to know that our President is following these projects step by step, he is following these projects day by day, receiving reports, receiving information, and using all kinds of authority to eliminate the blockage when there is any blockage. At this stage, I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. President. I wish the works to be beneficial for our Kayseri and our country.”

Later, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, who was invited to the podium to give the good news for Kayseri, expressed his pleasure to be in Kayseri, one of Turkey's culture, art, science and tourism centers. Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they have a busy schedule in Kayseri, the apple of Anatolia's eye, and said, “We made inspections at the new terminal building of Kayseri airport. We held the first rail welding ceremony of Kayseri Anafartalar-Şehir Hospital YHT Station Tram Line. I am here to share the information of our Kayseri-Yerköy high-speed train project with you. I will share with you our important ongoing projects in Kayseri.”

Emphasizing that the tender process for the high-speed train project to Kayseri has started and will be completed this month, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “The length of our Yerköy-Kayseri high-speed train railway project is 142 kilometers. We will make it in the form of a new double line, suitable for the design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. There will be 12 tunnels with a total length of 900 thousand 9 meters on the line. Our longest tunnel will be 3 thousand 280 meters. There will be 2 bridges, 395 overpasses and 18 underpasses with a total length of 20 thousand 116 meters on our high-speed railway line. We will also construct 21 viaducts along the line. We have started the tender process for our high-speed train project, for which we are intensively preparing, and hopefully we will finish it within this month.”

FAST TRAIN WILL BE COMPLETED IN 4 YEAR

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they aim to complete the Ankara-Yerköy-Kayseri high-speed train project in 4 years and said, "Good luck. The length of 170 kilometers between Yerköy and Kayseri will decrease to 142 kilometers. The transportation time will decrease from 3,5 hours to less than 1 hour. When our project is completed, we will provide a serious alternative to the road transportation between Yerköy and Kayseri, which takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. With the commissioning of the line, the Ankara-Kayseri transportation time, which is provided in 7 hours by the existing conventional railway, will also decrease to 2 hours. With this line, we will have the opportunity to transport 1 million passengers and 11 thousand tons of freight in 650 year between our Ankara, Kırıkkale, Yerköy, Şefaatli, Yenifakılı, Himmetdede, Boğazköy and Kayseri stations.”
