Hyundai Breaks Record With More Than 2021 Awards In 110

Hyundai had a very successful year in Europe in 2021 and has come a long way by increasing both its brand image and sales. Reinforcing these achievements and claims with the awards it received, Hyundai reached the top in more than 110 categories. Reaching the highest number of awards in a year since its establishment, Hyundai has thus broken its own record. In addition, Hyundai, which was deemed worthy of the "Car of the Year" awards with its 10 different models, proved its strength and production quality in its product range.

Collecting awards in various categories from design to sustainability, Hyundai was found very successful not only by its customers, but also by the sector and authorities in the design industry. Hyundai, which will make a name for itself with its smart mobility solutions and robot technologies in the coming years, thus stands out as a very promising brand for the future.

Great success with IONIQ 5

IONIQ 5, which attracted attention all over Europe and in other countries where it was offered for sale, added an extremely important value to the brand in the field of electrification. After the successful launch at the beginning of this year, the IONIQ 25, which has collected more than 5 industry awards one by one in important markets such as England, Germany and Belgium, has finally made its mark as one of the 2022 finalist cars in the "7 COTY Car of the Year" voting.

Hyundai also drew attention with the BAYON, a completely new crossover SUV model specially designed for Europe, and the KONA N, its first special high-performance SUV. In addition to these models, TUCSON's success in safety by receiving five stars from Euro NCAP crash tests marked the year as another important award reached by the brand.

First prize for Hyundai at Top Gear Awards

In recent months, Hyundai has also received the two highest awards at the legendary British auto show and magazine Top Gear Awards. The i20 N, produced by Hyundai in Izmit and exported to the whole of Europe and Australia, was chosen as the "Car of the Year", outperforming its 1.000-horsepower hyper-sport rivals and ultra-luxury models. In addition, Hyundai was deemed worthy of the magazine's "Manufacturer of the Year" award with its superior model series. Not limiting its success with these awards, Hyundai achieved the highest brand assurance score in the 2021 UK Automotive Reputation Report.

Hyundai was also awarded for its contribution to sustainability. Along with its battery-electric (BEV) vehicles, the South Korean brand has also taken important steps in the hydrogen field, which it sees as a vital part of mobility. For the past few years, Hyundai has been developing a hydrogen ecosystem in Switzerland through Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility (HHM), a joint venture with H2 Energy. By leasing Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell trucks to commercial operators, HHM ushered in a new era especially in transportation and environmental protection.

Collecting design and environmental awards with these important steps, Hyundai will share its vision of robotics and metaverse, which is the mobility ecosystem of the future, with the visitors at the CES 2022 Consumer Electronics Fair to be held in the coming days.
