The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of TİSK, Türk-İş and Public representatives, contributed to the determination of the minimum wage by completing the process to be completed at the end of December in 15 days and reaching an early conclusion for the first time. The extraordinarily understanding attitude of the workers and employers has not only been an indicator of an extremely important responsibility in terms of the protection of labor and the continuity of production, but also has had an effect on the maintenance of social solidarity and social peace. I thank them for their attitude and work.

The minimum wage was determined by the mutual agreement of the worker, employer and the state, which is the triple pillar of working life. Net minimum wage increased by more than 50% compared to the previous year. However, with a historical agreement, a structural transformation will be achieved as a requirement of being a social state. Income and stamp taxes were abolished from the wage income of all workers up to the minimum wage.

Thus, a permanent improvement has been made in this issue, which has been discussed for a long time in business life but could not be concluded.

The minimum wage for 2022 has been determined at a level that will both satisfy our workers, protect employment and ensure production continuity.

The minimum wage for 2022 was Gross 5.004 TL and Net 4.253,4 TL.

With this increase, the net minimum wage increased by approximately 2021 percentage points above the November 30 inflation rate.

Thus, for the first time in the history of Turkey, the net minimum wage increased by more than 50% compared to the previous year.

With this regulation, the net minimum wage rose 2002 times in nominal terms compared to 23. In the same period, there was an increase of 235,87% in real terms (as of November).
