Aysun Tecir, the first female citizen of the Tünel metro, stated that she loves her job and said:
“I feel happy and strong. I think I did the best job in the best possible place. I started with small tools. Then came the enthusiasm to use different tools. Previously, I worked as a shuttle driver for 4 years. Now, when I saw the women, I said "I should do it too". When I saw the IMM's female driver recruitment, I applied.
It is a very nice feeling to be the first female driver in a place that is the apple of the eye of Istanbul and the apple of the eye of IMM. They were so surprised. Now we get a reaction saying 'we can do it too'. This shows that we are successful when we do a good job.” (T24)
