
President of the European Council Michel announced that Azerbaijani President Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan have agreed on the railway lines that are planned to connect the two countries.
Charles Michel, President of the European Union (EU) Council, made an assessment to the journalists after the trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels.
Stating that it is important to establish a dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia in order to solve the problems, Michel said, “I know that the connection lines between the two countries are a priority. This is important in terms of being a level of trust, identifying different positions. For example, an agreement was reached on railway lines tonight. “A shared understanding of what is needed to reopen the connecting lines is important,” he said.
