İzmir Metropolitan Municipality organization İZELMAN AŞ organized the "Early Childhood Education Workshop". Speaking at the workshop, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu said, “We find it very valuable to touch the lives of our children, who are our future. Our dream is for children at an early age to be safe, healthy, happy and learning.”

Özuslu: “Adults should not interfere with the rhythm”
Speaking at the workshop, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu said, “Children are the architects of humanity. They follow their inner building plan and catch their rhythm. Adults should not interfere with this rhythm with their own training methods. This is the biggest blow to the future. Children are our future. Early childhood education should offer educational models in which independence and freedom are internalized. Only in this way will it be possible to raise generations with free ideas, free conscience, and free knowledge.”
“Success stress is pushing children”
Stating that there are nearly 0 million children aged 6-9 in Turkey and 4,9 million of them live in households in the poorest 40 percent, Özuslu said, “As İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, we find it very valuable to touch the lives of children in particular. We are walking on this grueling road doing whatever we can, and we want to do it all together. Our dream is for children at an early age to be safe, healthy, happy and learning.”
Özuslu stated that recently, parents have been alone and unsupported in the education of their children:
“It is very important at this point to deal with preschool education institutions together with parents. So where does the Izmir model in education stand in this table? What we call the Izmir Model; It is a model that is desired to be created, dreamed of, and highly desired to be realized. It stands at the point of being able to analyze rapidly changing social and global processes correctly, including our children, educators and families in the process with a holistic approach, and supporting the healthy development of our children in every sense.”
Akyarlı: “Do not lose hope”
Making a presentation on "Making a Difference in Education Programs", İZELMAN Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Adnan Oğuz Akyarlı said, “Our aim is to develop a model for early childhood in accordance with contemporary and universal values. Our method is to create a participatory understanding and a common mind together. Thank you to all my fellow travelers. We want a virtuous and creative generation. We want virtuous young people who are the set of qualities such as love, respect, tolerance, self-sacrifice and courage. Do not lose hope,” he said.
