In Ankara, university student Emre Berat Başaran was injured by falling when he opened the door of the carriage to take photos from the Eastern Express, which made the Kars-Ankara expedition.

The incident occurred at the train station location in Lalahan district at noon. University student Emre Berat B., who boarded the Eastern Express from Erzurum, which made the Kars-Ankara expedition, allegedly opened the door of the 5th wagon to take pictures. Meanwhile, B., who lost his balance, fell from the train. Other passengers, who saw that B. had fallen, reported the situation to the train staff.

Other passengers, who saw Başaran fall, reported the situation to their officials. While the mechanic was stopping the train, the passengers and staff rushed to Başaran's side. A medical team was dispatched to the region for the injured Başaran upon a report. Başaran, who had a cut on his ankle, was taken to Gülhane Training and Research Hospital by ambulance after the first intervention.
