How did the process proceed?
Entrepreneurship Center İzmir is an incubation center that carries out studies to meet regional and sectoral needs from an entrepreneurial perspective in thematic areas determined every year, taking into account the strategic priorities of İzmir. Aiming to accept entrepreneur candidates with different themes every year, the Center determined the theme of the first year as "agricultural entrepreneurship" in line with the vision of "Another Agriculture is Possible" of Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer. With this program, which has been carried out since June, it was aimed to develop innovative solutions for the problems experienced in İzmir in the fields of food supply, agricultural production, marketing and rural development.
Within the scope of the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Program, implemented with the support of Yaşar University and İzmir University of Economics, a total of 69 hours of basic entrepreneurship training was given to 27 teams consisting of 52 entrepreneurs. On the other hand, 14 teams (54 entrepreneurs) who have successfully completed these trainings can move on to the next stage and receive 47 hours of agricultural and food entrepreneurship training and develop their projects with the support of the program mentors. kazanwas.
