The Ministry of National Education continues to provide quality education to the population of the age, on the one hand, and to organize courses for citizens through public education centers and maturation institutes, on the other.

The Ministry of National Education's General Directorate of Lifelong Learning offers every course they want to citizens with 995 public education centers and 24 maturation institutes and offers training services for short-term certification. In this context, while 2020 thousand 196 courses were opened in 405, this number reached 2021 thousand 289 in 521. While 2020 million 3 thousand 569 citizens benefited from these courses in 734, 2021 million 4 thousand 642 citizens benefited from these courses in 932. Thus, the number of citizens benefiting from the courses increased by 30% in one year.

WOMEN ATTENDED MORE INTEREST IN THE COURSES

This year, 2 million 926 thousand 886 female and 1 million 716 thousand 46 male trainees attended the courses. Thus, the rate of women benefiting from the courses opened in 2021 was 63%. This year, the highest demand was for “hygiene education” in courses. It is estimated that the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic is also effective in this. The hygiene training received by 465 thousand 876 citizens is followed by the social cohesion and life course with 123 thousand 233 participants and the Quran reading with 112 thousand 758.

Vocational courses also attracted great interest this year. This year, 2 million 92 thousand 255 citizens attended vocational courses. Among the vocational courses opened the most, hygiene training for those working in the food and water sector, computer management, preparation of home textile products, beekeeping, natural gas fired heater, traditional hand embroidery, Turkish hand embroidery, sewing of women's clothes, decorative wooden ornaments and decorative home accessories. preparation courses.

2022 MILLION TRAINERS TARGET IN 10

Making an evaluation on the subject, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that they constantly support individuals to develop skills throughout their lives.

Emphasizing that on the one hand, the Ministry constantly increases the quality and prevalence of the education service offered to the population of all ages, on the other hand, it tries to facilitate access by expanding the courses demanded by the citizens, Özer said:

“In this context, the number of courses we opened in 2021 increased by 2020% compared to 47. This increase was also reflected in the number of people benefiting from the courses. The number of citizens benefiting from the courses we opened in 2021 increased by 2020% compared to 30. Women benefit the most from these courses. In 2021, the rate of female trainees increased to 63%. In 2022, we will make a significant change in the variety of courses. Our goal is to ensure that at least 2022 million of our citizens benefit from these courses in 10. We also made the necessary plans.
