Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organizes a national poster competition to raise awareness about labor exploitation and human trafficking that immigrants, women, children and other vulnerable groups are exposed to. All amateur and professional designers over the age of 18 can participate with a maximum of three posters in the competition organized under the name of "Be a Voice for the Fight Against Human Trafficking". Designers can send their posters to “izbbafisyarismasi@gmail.com” until January 10, 2022. Results will be announced on January 25, 2022. Must not have received an award
The works to be determined by the selection committee will be awarded in four categories. Selected works will be exhibited openly to the public. The winner of the competition will be awarded 10 TL, the second 2 TL, and the third XNUMX TL. The honorable mention was determined as XNUMX thousand liras.
Designers can enter the competition with their previously published posters. However, the works must not have received an award in any national or international competition.
Trainings and workshops will also be held
The competition started within the scope of the program titled “HF30 Strengthening the Protection of Migrants and Victims of Trafficking in Turkey in Terms of Human Rights” implemented in Turkey within the scope of the “Horizontal Support for the Western Balkans and Turkey II” program with the financial support of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It is carried out within the scope of “Awareness Raising and Capacity Building on Human Trafficking for Labor Exploitation in İzmir” project. The project is carried out in partnership with the Urban Justice and Equality Branch Directorate of the Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department and the Solidarity Association with Asylum Seekers and Migrants.
Within the scope of the project, a workshop will be held as well as awareness raising activities and capacity building trainings on victims of sexual exploitation, forced labor, forced marriage and forced begging as a result of human trafficking.
