Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure 2022 Budget was discussed at the General Assembly. Speaking at the General Assembly, Karaismailoğlu said that with the build-operate-transfer model, we will build a total of 2035 thousand 3 kilometers of highway until 767.

Emphasizing that they have increased their investment activities within the framework of the policies that will contribute to the smart, environmentalist and holistic development determined for the highway, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “We have made our roads safer and more comfortable. We have overcome the difficult geographical conditions of our country with tunnels, bridges and viaducts. We increased our existing divided road network of 2003 kilometers before 6 to 100 kilometers.

We are starting the construction works of Aydın-Denizli Highway, Başakşehir – Bahçeşehir-Hadımköy Highway, Malkara-Çanakkale Highway including 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, Mersin, Çeşmeli-Erdemli-Silifke-Taşucu Highway. With the Build-Operate-Transfer model, we plan to build a total of 2023 kilometers of highway with 6 projects until 579, and a total of 2035 thousand 13 kilometers of highway with 3 projects until 767. In addition to our solutions that increase traffic safety, we also saved on vehicle operating costs, increased travel comfort and shortened its duration. We increased the average speed from 40 km to 88 km.

We increased the total road tunnel length, which was 2003 kilometers before 50, to 12 kilometers by increasing it 617 times. We monitor and measure the connection between Intelligent Transportation Systems and roads, users and vehicles with communication technologies. We analyze and provide safe, comfortable and fast transportation. While preparing the Accessible Transportation Strategy and Action Plan, we have centered our approach of 'Accessibility in transportation everywhere, for everyone and at any time'. As in many of our projects, we aim to be a pioneer in making transportation services accessible to everyone.”
