The right tube of the Eğribel Tunnel, which was built on the Dereli-Şebinkarahisar Road, was completed on Tuesday, December 28 and opened to traffic in both directions.
The total length of the Eğribel Tunnel, which was built on the Sivas – Giresun route, at the 2 altitude Eğribel Pass in Şebinkarahisar district, reaches 200 kilometers together with the connection roads. In the double tube tunnel, each of which is 7,7 thousand 5 meters, connecting the Black Sea to other regions, the right tube productions were completed with bituminous hot coating; concrete pavement is finished, asphalt is poured, road lines are drawn, electronics and lighting system are installed.
Thanks to the tunnel, which eliminates the security threats in the Eğribel Pass, where transportation stops from time to time due to the type and storm in winter; By shortening 6,5 kilometers, 20 minutes of time was saved on the route.
In the left tube of the tunnel, where the works are carried on without interruption, the excavation and support productions have come to an end. It is aimed to complete the production of the left tube in October 2022, where the final concrete coating production continues from the entrance section.
