Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç is implementing his projects one by one to strengthen the transportation network in the city and to provide faster and more comfortable transportation. Büyükkılıç signed the purchase of 13 rail system vehicles with a total cost of 326 million 6 thousand Euros.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, attended the signing ceremony held at the Metropolitan Municipality Assembly Hall. Bozankaya Chairman of the Board of Directors Aytunç Günay, Secretary General Hüseyin Beyhan and bureaucrats attended.
In his speech at the signing ceremony, President Büyükkılıç stated that they came together to sign for the purchase of 13 new domestic and national tram vehicles worth 326 million 6 thousand Euros and said, “We will be providing transportation services to Kayseri with a total of 80 rail system vehicles. 42 of them are local and national. I would like to thank our company, which always helps us, is harmonious, well-intentioned, and is the pride of our country. When it comes to transportation in Kayseri, we are not only talking about the tram. The business has a bus and tram dimension, and the business has a provincial dimension. We consider them all together. In order to increase the comfort of transportation in our Kayseri, we work with the understanding that the road is civilization in a way, with our works on intersection arrangements and on opening alternative roads.”

Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized that Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Inc. was among the top 2021 in the “3 Efficiency Project Awards” organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and said:
“By the way, in the competition on efficiency held by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in Kocaeli Gebze district on Friday, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Transportation A.Ş. President Büyükkılıç reminded that when the tram lines in Belsin and Talas regions are completed, the length of the rail system lines will reach 48 kilometers in total.
Talas Mayor, Mustafa Yalçın, stated that when the project is completed, a very comfortable public transportation will come to the district and said, “When these vehicles are purchased, our eyes shine. Line construction is currently underway in Talas. The second line is coming. There will be a very comfortable public transportation to the Mevlana District, which is the largest neighborhood in Kayseri and the seventh largest in Turkey. After the speeches, President Büyükkılıç and Bozankaya Inc. A signature protocol was signed between Günay, the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
NEW TRAMWAYS FULL FUNCTION
A total of 2 vehicles and spare parts will be delivered at the end of the 22th month, 2 of which will be 24 months after the contract date, 2 will be delivered after 6 months and the last 26 will be. The tram vehicles to be purchased have control cabins at both ends, articulated, have doors on both sides that can be easily reached from the low platforms at each station, approximately 33 meters long including the couplings, 100 percent low-floor, 2 thousand 650 mm wide, powered by the catenary system, drive in both directions. It will have the electrical-electronic and mechanical infrastructure suitable for the operation of two-vehicle arrays with a cabin and controlled from the front driver's cabin of the vehicle in front.
