Şevki Şentürk Bridge Destroyed in Flood in Sinop Ayancık Reopened

Şevki Şentürk Bridge, which was destroyed in our province of Sinop, which was affected by the disaster caused by the heavy rain on 11 August 2021, was rebuilt and opened to traffic on Wednesday, 29 December.

Şevki Şentürk Bridge, which was completed in 77 days, was built on reinforced ground with 86 spans and a length of 5 meters with the manufacture of 144 bored piles. The Terminal Bridge was put into service for the first time on 29 November as part of the work started in Sinop. With the Şevki Şentürk Bridge, uninterrupted and comfortable transportation was provided on both sides of the Ayancık city center.

Work continues on the İkisu-Ayancık, Türkeli-Ayancık, Yenikonak-Erfelek and Ayancık-Yenikonak road sections damaged by the flood.​ ​
