Pleven Anthem Surprise from Bosnian Students to Minister Akar

Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar also visited the Maarif Foundation School in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he was on an official visit.

On his arrival at the school, kindergarten students in local clothes presented flowers to Minister Akar. Minister Akar encountered the surprise of primary school students when he entered the building. The little ones carrying the Turkish and Bosnian flags in their hands greeted Minister Akar by singing the song "hello".

While the happiness of the children, who were presented with tablets by Minister Akar, was read from their eyes, Minister Akar later met with secondary school students in the meeting hall.

Minister Akar, who was greeted with the “Plevna Anthem” sung by a student accompanied by the piano at the entrance of the hall, thanked for the surprises prepared and said, “I am very happy to be welcomed with such a beautiful ceremony and to meet with you.” he said.

Congratulating the students for their success, Minister Akar said, “You young people are the guarantee of our future. What we can do for your education and training is less. In this regard, I see that the Maarif Foundation has prepared some very special opportunities for you in coordination with the National Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am glad to see that you, too, are making the most of these opportunities. You are the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

Minister Akar stated that he served in Bosnia and Herzegovina 25 years ago and said, “I see with great pleasure what has changed and how things have improved. With your efforts, Bosnia and Herzegovina will go much further than it is today.” said.

Minister Akar, who also gave tablets to secondary school students, left the Maarif Foundation School with Sadık Babür Girgin, Turkey's Ambassador to Sarajevo.

Later, Minister Akar also visited the school that provides education for the disabled, which he helped to open during his tenure in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and received information from the authorities regarding the activities.
