Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club female cyclists competing in national and international championships in the bicycle branch achieved great success in 2021.

The club, which was established in 2003 to popularize sports among women and to make girls love sports, has achieved remarkable success in all branches it has competed in. Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club female cyclists, who achieved historical victories in 2021, are also very assertive for 2022.

Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club achieved important degrees in the national and international championships it participated in this year. Bringing together 1152 licensed athletes under the same roof, the Sports Club made a breakthrough especially in the bicycle category. Represented by 6 active athletes in cycling marathons, the club won the “Turkey First Place” in the competitions in 2021.

The journey of female cyclists from Karaman to Turkey's championship

Some started pedaling at the age of 11, some at a younger age. Fatma Sezer, one of the athletes, was born in Karaman. When he started cycling, he faced many problems. He endured all the troubles and pressures he experienced with the support of his club and reached the Turkish championship in 2021. Fatma Sezer said, “I started as the first female cyclist in Karaman. My coach was the principal of the school and through him we started as the first women's cycling team in Karaman. I've been to all the countries that I wouldn't be able to see in a normal, non-sports life. Thanks to this sport, I opened up to the world, I made my name known to the world.”

His teammate Simanur Aydın, on the other hand, clung to sports and won medals despite the reactions he received from his surroundings when he started sports.

Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club, which has gained great appreciation for its support to professional sports in Turkey, undertakes an important social responsibility in order to raise new generations with sports. The Sports Club, which is assertively prepared for the championships to be held in 2022; He won the Turkish championship in the Taekwondo Junior category, and set his sights on new achievements in the Turkish, European and World championships in the Cycling Stars category. The club aims to bring at least 2022 more athletes to Turkish sports in 300.
