We Strive to Work With Optimism

He started by reminding the speech he made in the previous advisory board. EGİAD Chairman of the Board of Directors Yelkenbiçer said, “Unfortunately, we cannot say that things are getting better. From the perspective of our country, the economic situation has worsened and the crisis is deepening. Globally, the Covid epidemic has not regressed; With new variants, it hangs on us like Damocles' sword as a great threat. Returning to our own private EGİAD Our 16th Term goal is to get our association out of this difficult period stronger, but not contented with that, to increase our competitiveness with both new topics and new ways of doing business by taking pioneering, innovative, courageous and even daring steps, befitting the name “Aegean YOUNG Businessmen”. That's what we said in June. If you ask us how we will measure whether we are able to fulfill this goal we have set, our answer will be "optimism". if we EGİAD We continued that we have achieved our goal only if we can create optimism in our society and contribute to institutions and individuals looking to the future with a little more confidence in the environment we are in and in the works we undertake. I would like you to look at today's activities from this perspective," he said.

EGİAD Runs To Success With Its Open Structure

In the last 6 months, the people we could reach and touch said, “Did we awaken new ideas? Have we been able to raise awareness of what else could be done or how it could be done better? Were we able to generate new information? Have we had an impact on how this information can add value to their work and their lives?” Yelkenbiçer, who also asked questions on some topics such as, “When we look at our main themes, dynamism and sustainability, these 6 months are very important for us. It sees the amount of work done as a measure of dynamism and, to be frank, EGİAD We pride ourselves on it. The progress of the work done not only on the signboard, but also under the leadership of our different members, and the teamwork experienced in our commissions and projects are also the way of applying sustainability to daily life for us. Because any business that runs on the backs of only certain people and with a small number of support is not sustainable. So are the NGO careers of volunteers who undertake such burdens. We aim for a member profile that is eager to add value and does it with professional seriousness but also with pleasure. I can honestly say that the only thing we can really say so far is clarity. We will maintain direct communication with the same determination, with the transparent and open-minded management approach we implemented in the 16th period. Because we believe wholeheartedly that the thing that will carry us to the future and make us even younger and more dynamic is the open structure.”

We Want to Prevent the Youth Brain Drain

Pointing out that the brain drain of young people in particular has increased a lot, Yelkenbiçer said, “At the point where the hope of young people is fading, we continue to be a space for those among us and newcomers where they can breathe, develop their creativity and learn from each other. " said.
