Bringing together Istanbulites and poetry lovers, “XIII. The closing of the International Istanbul Poetry and Literature Festival (20-25) will be held in Beykoz with an event full of poetry and music where guest poets are hosted.

The “XIII. This year, 13 local and 7 foreign poets, 20 young writers, 4 young musicians, composers and 6 orchestras participated in the International Istanbul Poetry and Literature Festival. The festival, where masters had the opportunity to introduce their new works and young poets had the opportunity to introduce themselves, attracted attention with interviews, concerts, poetry recitals and poetry school workshops held with the motto "From Space to Inspiration: Istanbul" at cultural points of the city with the participation of academics. Within the scope of the festival, the “Poetry and History Symposium” and activities where immigrant children came together with poets from their own geographies were also held.

The most beautiful poems will be read on the Bosphorus

At the closing ceremony to be hosted by Beykoz Municipality, guest poets will meet with literature and poetry lovers in the historical and artistic atmosphere of the district, which has inspired poets for centuries. Ali Al-Shalah, Eka Kevanashvili, Najwan Darwish, ErolTufan, Güven Adıgüzel, Zeynep Tuğçe Karadağ, Ferit Hüseyin, Naile Dire, Raşit Ulaş, Cengizhan Orakçı, Selahattin Yolgiden and Şerafettin Kaya will read their most beautiful poems in the night that will enrich the cultural and artistic life of the district. The poems of foreign poets will be presented to the participants with their translations.
