The second meeting of the minimum wage 2022 hike was held on December 7, hosted by Türk-İş. Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, announced the expectations as a result of the studies at the first meeting held on 1 December. Bilgin stated that as a result of the work carried out at the first meeting held on December 1, the workers' side wanted a minimum wage between 3750-4000 liras and the employers' side between 3500-3750 liras.

The second meeting for the minimum wage hike took place on Tuesday, December 7th. The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of workers, employers and government representatives, came together under the hosting of Türk-İş to determine the minimum wage. The minimum wage, which directly concerns more than 7 million employees, will be collected with the participation of at least 10 members and decided by majority vote. The third meeting will be held today.

The Turkish Confederation of Workers' Unions (Türk-İş) represents the workers at the meetings, and the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TİSK) represents the employers' segment. The third minimum wage meeting will be held on Thursday, December 9 at 10.00:XNUMX in the TİSK building.
